Councillor Denyse Arseneault Zyveniuk
After service in the private sector as Executive Secretary to the late Walter H. Gray of Campbellton, Denyse enjoyed employment in Fredericton as Private Secretary to two Lieutenant Governors, the Honorable Wallace S. Bird and the Honorable Hédard J. Robichaud.
Thereafter, she joined the Federal Public Service in Ottawa where she served brief stints with CRTC, Official Languages, and with the Department of Transport, Civil Aeronautics Division. While with Transport, she was enrolled in the Government’s one year French Language Training Program at Ecole Carson.
Denyse then transferred to Human Resources Development Canada where she was employed for 22 years. This employ saw her serve two terms each in Fredericton and in Ottawa, and then on to Bathurst and to the Campbellton office from which she retired.
Denyse has served two terms as Director of the Restigouche Health Authority. She presently serves as Vice President on the Superannuates Division of the Public Service which is the Federal employees, RCMP, Military and Judges Union. As well, she is Restigouche Director of NB Trails Inc., and Associate Director of the NB Chapter of the International Appalachian Trail.
On Tide Head Council, her portfolios are Human Resources, Beautification and Trails, as well as Police.
She is presently on her third term as Village Councillor, having been first elected in 2001 and is a member of the Restigouche Naturalist Club, NB Naturalists, Jeunesses Musicales and the Baroque Musical Festival.
