Mayor Randy Hunter

Randy Hunter, Born March 23, 1953.  Lifetime resident of GlenCoe and moved to Tide Head in 1994. Has resided in various parts of the Province and Gaspe filling teaching vacancies.

Graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Education with a major in Business Education and a minor in Special Ed.  , attended UNB, U de M, etc. obtaining a Certificate V in Special Education.

Presently teaching at Sugarloaf Senior High School in Campbellton, NB.

Was married to the late Gwen Craswell of Mann’s Mountain.

Has served on many Provincial committees with the NBTA and local Recreation Committee in GlenLevit.

Interests include:  Bowling, Music, Travelling, etc.

Enjoys working with the Public and is dedicated to helping others.

Deputy-Mayor Donald Munroe

Donald was born and raised in Campbellton and moved to Tide Head in 1961.  Married to Elizabeth (Betty) Glidden, they have 4 children (2 boys and 2 girls) and 9 grandchildren. 

He served 15 years in the Tide Head Fire Department, retiring in 1994.

Donald was employed by the C.N.R. and retired in 1993 after 37 years of service.

First elected as Village Councillor in 1986, having served under 6 Mayors.  He is now serving as the Deputy Mayor.

Councillor Denyse Arseneault Zyveniuk

After service in the private sector as Executive Secretary to the late Walter H. Gray of Campbellton, Denyse enjoyed employment in Fredericton as Private Secretary to two Lieutenant Governors, the Honorable Wallace S. Bird and the Honorable Hédard J. Robichaud.

Thereafter, she joined the Federal Public Service in Ottawa where she served brief stints with CRTC, Official Languages, and with the Department of Transport, Civil Aeronautics Division.  While with Transport, she was enrolled in the Government’s one year French Language Training Program at Ecole Carson.

Denyse then transferred to Human Resources Development Canada where she was employed for 22 years.  This employ saw her serve two terms each in Fredericton and in Ottawa, and then on to Bathurst and to the Campbellton office from which she retired.

Denyse has served two terms as Director of the Restigouche Health Authority.  She presently serves as Vice President on the Superannuates Division of the Public Service which is the Federal employees, RCMP, Military and Judges Union.  As well, she is Restigouche Director of NB Trails Inc., and Associate Director of the NB Chapter of the International Appalachian Trail.

On Tide Head Council, her portfolios are Human Resources, Beautification and Trails, as well as Police.

She is presently on her third term as Village Councillor, having been first elected in 2001 and is a member of the Restigouche Naturalist Club, NB Naturalists, Jeunesses Musicales and the Baroque Musical Festival.

Councillor Gary Hickey

Raised in Atholville, NB

Relocated to Tide Head permanently in 1978

Married to his high-school sweetheart---Sharon Nichol

Proud father of Shawn, Amy and Amanda

Served 18 years as a Charter Member of the Tide Head Fire Brigade

Hobbies include just about anything associated with motor sports

Gary loves the outdoors and especially time spent with friends and relatives at “The Log Cabin” on his property in Charlo, NB

Retired in 2006 following a 36 year career in the financial industry

First elected to council in 2008

Councillor Judith Murray

Born and Raised in Toronto, Ontario.

Relocated to Tide Head permanently 30 years ago.

Married 30 years to Frank James Murray of Tide Head.

Proud mother of Laura Ashley and proud grandmother of Austin Murray and Calley Pollock.

Served 5 years as a Home and School president of the Tide Head Home School.

Organizer of the Tide Head School Hot Meals program and served 5 years as a fulltime Volunteer.

Served as Head Leader for Guides in Tide Head for 5 years.

Career in retail – Private business owner of Heart Beat Fashions Sussex, NB and Whiskers Pet Sitting and House Sitting, Tide Head, NB.

Assistant Manager Visitor Information Center in Campbellton, 10 years working for the provincial government.

Appointed Vice President of the Provincial Chamber of Commerce on December 9, 2010.

Proud to be a New Councilor in Tide Head.  Elected in May 2008.
